Biffy Clyro fans can join the band on stage with the release of the UK’s first 360 degree music video – The Scottish Sun – WBNews

BIFFY Clyro fans can now be part of the band from the comfort of their own living rooms – following the release of the UK’s first 360 degree music video.

Music enthusiasts are now able to navigate around the set alongside frontman Simon Neil and bandmates James and Ben Johnston as they rock out to their new track, Flammable.

Incredibly, viewers can virtually follow the band as they walk into a perspex cube suspended above an abandoned warehouse and then place themselves centre stage.

Last summer the Ayrshire trio allowed limited numbers of music enthusiasts to watch the immersive clip from inside a portable screening room across various festivals.

But now the Scots rockers have released the full version of the new track allowing viewers across the world the opportunity to feel like part of the band.

The band’s innovative new move was described as “a moment in music history” by tech giants, Samsung who partnered up with Biffy Clyro to create the video.

The video shared on social media has gathered more than 11,000 likes online and has been shared almost 2000 times.

Charles Carmichael said: “Best. Thing. Ever.”

While Ian Murphy said: “This is too cool.”

Sarah Morris added: “This is mental. These 360 videos freak me out.”

And April Elliot said: “We can pretend we’re on stage with them.”

Since being launched on YouTube on Friday, the track has already been viewed over 22,000 times.

Speaking last year about the clip, Neil said: “We’ve always wanted to get involved in VR so we’re really pleased to Samsung have given us this opportunity.

“It’s great to create such an amazing experience for our fans – the result is awesome.”
