NEYMAR has fired his way into the history books by surpassing the goal tally of a Barcelona legend.
Ronaldinho struck 94 times for the Catalans while fellow Brazilian Neymar has scored 95.
The former Santos man helped Barcelona romp to a 6-0 win at Alaves, who must now be dreading playing the same fixture in May’s Copa del Rey final.
Luis Suarez netted twice in the rout, with Lionel Messi, Ivan Rakitic and an own goal rounding off the victory.
Neymar will now have his eye on Barcelona’s top ten all-time goalscorers, with Bulgarian legend Hristo Stoichkov sitting in tenth place on 117 goals.
If the Brazil captain continues the form he’s shown up to this stage of his career, he could end up being an even greater goalscorer than both Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
On his 25th birthday, Neymar had scored 280 goals for club and country with Messi on 279.
And Ronaldo had netted just 162 times when he turned 25.
