Ellie Sorrentino scored 10 points to lead the Pinelands Regional High School girls basketball team to a 32-29 win over Egg Harbor Township in a War vs. the Shore showcase event on Saturday at Mainland Regional.
Sophomore DâAnna Capriotti scored all eight of her points in the second half for the Wildcats, and teammate Jackie Peschko had seven points, all in the first quarter.
EHT guard Liana Fiore led the Eagles with a game-high 11 points, including two 3-pointers. Fiore hit a 3-pointer with 20 seconds left to cut the Pinelands lead to 32-29. The Eagles had a final possession with four seconds left but failed to score.
